L’artiste new-yorkais, créateur du crew IRAK, est mort lundi 13 juillet des suites d’une overdose. Dash Snow avait 27 ans.
Dash Snow, aussi connu sous le pseudo de Sacer (ou Sace), était un des fondateurs du crew new-yorkais IRAK, et a été un des street-artists les plus actifs de la Grosse Pomme.
Dash Snow s’est fait aussi beaucoup remarqué par son travail photographique très provocateur mettant souvent en avant, à l’aide du médium Polaroid – son outil de prédilection – des scènes décadentes de violence, de drogues ou de sexe. Dash Snow compte de nombreuses appararitions dans des galeries ou musées tel que The Royal Academy à Londres, The Whitney Museum of American Art’s 2006 Biennial, Deitch Projects, la Galerie Saatchi, Peres Projects ou la Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery à New York. Il a notamment participé à deux expos collectives à Paris en 2003 à la Galerie du Jour d’ Agnès B et, en 2007, au Palais de Tokyo.
Dash Sacer Snow est mort lundi 13 juillet des suites d’une overdose, à l’âge de 27 ans. Quelques traces du writer sont présentes dans certains quartiers de Paris.
